Protection of personal data
At Apartments Tonkli (Pavel Tonkli – Complementary Activity on the Farm), hereinafter referred to as the “Data Controller”, we value your privacy and therefore strive for the highest level of protection for your personal data. When providing our services on the website https://apartmaji-tonkli.si or when conducting business via telecommunications, we assure you that we process your data in accordance with the applicable European legislation (General Data Protection Regulation) and in accordance with the national legislation of the Republic of Slovenia (the Personal Data Protection Act, the Electronic Communications Act and the Electronic Commerce Market Act, each in force from time to time).
The purpose of the Personal Data Protection Statement (the “Statement”) is to inform you about the purposes for which your personal data will be collected and how it will be used, what your rights are in relation to the data we hold about you and how to exercise them.
At Apratments Tonkli, we undertake that the personal data collected from you through our websites or by telecommunication means (e.g. in the context of email correspondence) will be used in accordance with this Statement, and that we will not sell, lend or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties, except as required by law.

What personal data do we collect

The Controller does not collect or process your personal data except when you give us the opportunity or consent to do so, i.e. when you send us an enquiry to book a room or apartment, or where there is a lawful basis for collecting your personal data, or where we have a legitimate interest in collecting or processing your data.
Basis and purpose for processing personal data
We process personal data where necessary to comply with our obligations under the law or where necessary to perform our obligations under a contract with you. We also process personal data where you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data. However, you may withdraw your consent at any time.
Retention of personal data
We retain basic personal contact information for as long as you are a registered user of our website. We retain personal data obtained on the basis of your consent until it is revoked. We retain information about invoices issued for 10 years from the date of issue. We retain data we have obtained for the performance of obligations arising under a contract for 5 years after the contract has been performed. At the end of the retention period, we permanently and effectively delete or anonymise the personal data so that they lose their personal data character.
Providing personal data
You decide voluntarily whether to provide us with your personal data. Failure to provide certain categories of personal data may result in the inability to provide the service or refusal to enter into a contract.
Access to personal data
Access to your personal data is only granted to persons within Apartments Tonkli who are authorised to process your personal data and to third parties with whom Apartments Tonkli has entered into a data processing agreement, i.e. contractual data processors. Contract processors provide personal data processing services in accordance with the provisions of the contract concluded between Apartments Tonkli and them. Contract processors are prohibited from transferring personal data to third countries and international organisations.
You may at any time request Apartmaji Tonkli to inform you whether it processes your personal data, which personal data it processes, the purpose of the processing of the personal data, who are the users of the personal data, the period of retention of the personal data and the criteria for determining the duration of the retention of the personal data. You may also request that the company informs you of the existence of automated decision-making and the reasons for its use, the meaning of its uses and its intended consequences.
- You may also request the rectification of inaccurate data and the restriction of processing where:
- You contest the accuracy of the data for the period of time necessary to verify the accuracy of the data.
- The processing is unlawful, but you do not request the erasure of the data, but the restriction of its processing.
- Where we no longer need the personal data but you need it to assert and defend legal claims.
If the conditions set out in Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation are met, you may request the erasure of all your personal data (Right to be forgotten). In any case, where the data was collected on the basis of your consent, which you have subsequently withdrawn.
You may also request a printout of your personal data in a structured and readable format. You may transmit this data to another data controller without hindrance.
You have the possibility to lodge a complaint against Apartments Tonkli with the Information Commissioner if you believe that Apartments Tonkli or another person has violated applicable law by processing your personal data.
Exercising your rights
Please address your requests under the previous Article to any of the contacts of the controller listed in Section 1 of this document. In order to provide personal data, we may require you to provide proof of your identity. If you fail to provide reliable proof of your own identity, we may refuse your request under the previous article. We are obliged to respond to your request referred to in the preceding paragraph as soon as we have become aware of it and have obtained the relevant information. At the latest within 15 days of receipt of your request.
